It is amazing that even with no voice from tonsillitis, I can still have a ‘voice’!
We do not have to speak our words to make them heard. Nor does someone require public speaking, writing, or a singing skill to have a say.
Our
life actions bleed out our words to the world. We are shouting so much more about God with our dress, our habits, our conversation, and our attitudes. Like I posted the other day, it is from the overflow of the heart that our mouth speaks.
To be clawed
by the need to maintain a certain style, or rule, or image, is a chain of dragging iron. Be sensible. Get wisdom which only comes from knowing Him actively more. Be careful that your ‘stand’ does not become your ‘god’; be sure your
conviction is not a fixation on a smaller idol that held so closely to your eyes becomes larger than the God of the world behind it.
God knew what He was doing by inserting passages in the bible to hold back those who didn’t really want to look
Him in the face. He knew those without honest searches inside themselves would be the ones to stick into the tangling weed of doctrinal issues. Look at His bigger picture.
“Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart and your ENTIRE mind and ALL
your soul, and love others as you would yourself.”
That is powerful, and HE has the ability to bring us to that place of powerful living, healthy breathing and astounded shouting of His words through our every action. Our sins and chains are not
more powerful than Him. God is the meaning of trust. He is where the term originated. You can trust Him to be capable of changing your darkest pin-prickling fears. Try it and shout out the result through your life.
But get to know Him from
the perspective He wrote our story - first. Then your trust will leap up and bound unhindered. Sounds like fun, huh?
