My God stuff thinkings

Going back to the first years of my marriage, because of my past I had to make certain my husband knew I was not movable in my love for him. I am sharing this because we MUST close down to sin.

This lesson was made so clear to me through major pain in a dysfunctional and abusive relationship, but I would never have been the determined and true wife today if God hadn’t allowed my foolishness to teach me.

As a teenager I was open to flirting. I was very self-centered.

Through my past mistakes I can now (and in my early marriage) be absolute that I had closed that door. This door was the entrance to possible unfaithfulness, even a right for future divorce. My husband needed to know without doubt that I was his and his ALONE.

It is amazing what a look comes about someone who has a closed door to sin. They are free. Their eyes are clear.

I have come across many men (as all of us would have experienced at times), where you knew without words that they were open to the great ‘what if’. It is ugly. I have the inclination to put these people in place and look down at them (sometimes I must show a very reserved manner at least), then I deliberately insert my husband into the conversation and gently extol his wonders and advertise my affections and respect.

The message is soon gathered.

It does not even need words though. Listen to me. It is read through your eyes.

What you are and where you are is readable to the world through your eyes. What we see before us (TV shows with promiscuity and bad communication skills) is what will show out of your eyes if you feed on it. It alters your thinking.

Wise up. Get wisdom. Rummage for it in the dirt of life if necessary, but do not settle for man’s poor substitute. It will burn you and your loved ones.

Close doors to sin by knowing the sin, and observing the damage it creates. Most important – get the incentive to close the doors by sticking your eyes up close to the Hero of this world and cry for what is in His.

Then rise up with purpose and joy.

And praise Him!!!

Kylie, I would be delighted to have my name as a side character in your next book. I am telling anyone who will listen that they too must read The Book of Told.

For the first time in many years I have found a book that I didn't want to put down. I wanted to just continue reading to find out where the story was going.
