My 15year old son is educating the piano on how to make stunning sounds. I am in the same room listening to him with my eyes shut, trying to rest before we travel to Auckland for the day to have his braces removed. Brad is excited and the feeling is
showing through his music!
Every now and then he will miss a note. Because I know the songs and where each note is leading to in the performance, I feel the empty space strongly. It almost adds to the power of the piece because a longing for perfection
tugs in me. There should be a note played in those empty spaces to complete the beauty of the song.
I think this is what pulls at our hearts the most in life. We know (from knowing Him) the sound life’s song is meant to make, and we feel the gaps
with strong emotion. These missing notes are people we may be praying for who have not yet grasped the beauty of the song they are a part of. They may be friends or strangers. They may be close to home or on the other side of the world in remote regions, with
painful lives we cannot comprehend.
It is something we can only guess at as to how the maker of the music must feel, knowing His notes are missing. Notes He had special places for...
