I knew a lady who was blind and her eyes moved around all the time. Her eyes would face different directions, spin around a lot, and move one way then the next really fast. There was no control over her eye movement. I was curious why this happened
and have only now looked it up on trusty google.
The best understanding I could find goes as follows: Sighted people have something for their eyes to lock onto and fix upon. But with blindness, there's just a field of nothingness – they
have nothing for there eyes to fix onto.
The sight we are given, through the power and understanding of the Holy Spirit, focuses our ever-searching eyes and explods our vision with insight! We have all been blind. Now we see! When we randomly,
and without control, search for fulfillment (light) from any other source, we take our eyes off the true light Source. I flounder every time I do this, and nothing I then do is clear or controlled by a Spirit-filled poise.
Our Sight-giver has
written His entire purpose and meaning, His very being, into everything He has created. It is all there to teach and encourage and astound us.
I get so excited thinking and talking about the privilege He has awakened us to. We are His light-bearers
to the blind world – US! The light in us is His reflection when we focus on Him – so much order and deep design.
WHAT A GOD!!!
