How do you know what God is telling you to do? Someone asked me this recently and I did not know how to explain. I think it is a quiet and mature knowing. It is a simple sense that comes from ever looking for hints of his approval and living
in worship of him—from desiring to know him deeper still. Like my dog, Hershey (chocolate lab), who sits at the door waiting for the slightest movement from me, the barest hint of command or acknowledgement. She jumps up and circles around in anticipation
for any door to open and a call to be made. Imagine if Jesus could have called us dogs and not sheep.
